Hi Roy

Changing "SET EmptyEPG=1" to "SET EmptyEPG=0" in UpdateEPG.bat will keep it from emptying the epg.

Code:

Thanks, I'll try it.
Although I seem to remember I set it this way to make sure changed listings were updated. How will this affect the way listings are updated?
What, me worry?

Welcome.
Yes, that’s exactly the reason it was used. Hopefully the changed listing update problem has been fixed in the latest version of gbpvr.
I haven’t upgraded yet, let me know how it works out.

I'm still seeing problems that I describe here but sub thinks it's I-xmltv UpdateEPG.bat related.

Let me know if I can send you any info to help.

Thanks

It seems the problem was unrelated to I-xmltv and has been patched by sub.

is there a way to have I-xmltv season record a new show with the * when the * isn't there.......I.E. say you only want to season record "it takes a thief" but only the new shows with the * but there aren't any new shows yet with the * for "it takes a thief" I guess my question is can you add a * to a season record for a show so it will only look for the new * shows......

thanks

I don't think it's possibly as of yet. The shows you want to record have to be in your EPG at the time you set them up. So if there are no 'new' shows in your epg then you won't be able to set them up as a season recording.

Easy question...I just started using I-XMLTV. Curious if anyone is having success with incremental downloads. I thought I would try it, but I don't want to wait a few days to find out it is pointless. I am using Zap2It, satellite directv, atlanta lineup. Thanks, nice program Jim.

Well it seems to be working fine with incremental downloads...

This is a great utility, the best addition to GBPVR IMO.

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but is there a way to tag all recurring instances of a show as "first run"?

My problem: I want to tape all new episodes of "Lost" and all new episodes of "Good Eats", but the ones tagged with a * are in the same timeslot. However, I do know that the same episode of Good Eats are rebroadcast the next day. Same new episode, but a later time slot.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I really liked the first-run tagging and conflict-resolution algorithm of BeyondTV, but I love the openness of GBPVR.
