One change that will probably expedite the EPG update is to reduce the number of channels that are enabled (Config/Capture Sources/Edit/Channels). I only record from a few anyway. I have not checked the EPG download times, but it can only get faster. And it simplifies navigating the program guide.

I have done what Groover said, chjanged my time to 9 AM and havn't had any issues since. While filling out my servey to renew my subscription, one of the questions was more of a statmenet saying the servers are getting too busy in the middle of the night.

That is good advice, and really helps. Some of you guys in the US have an obscene number of channels, which really amounts to huge volumes of data.

If you've got channels you know you dont watch, remove them from your channel line up at the zap2it end (http://labs.zap2it.com).

Sub, how does the epg update? If I set it to get 5 days of guide and update every day, will it d/l all 5 days every time or will it only grab days beyond what it already has?

It depends if you have the 'Complete EPG reload' option set. If not, then it'll do incremental ones.

The benefit of doing complete reloads is that you will get updates to show times if they move.

How about being able to set the complete epg reload to every x days. So you could do incremental updates some nights and complete reloads on others.
