Between work, a new wife, and family medical issues, I barely have enough time to have a beer to relaxBrian, I have a pretty full plate right now but... I have modified Theater so the skinners have control over the buttons and I have added support for the <ForegroundTransparency> tag which the skinners can use to eliminate the partial transparency of the popup. I could update the wiki with these changes if you like. If there are other skinning needs the skinners can post the requirements here. If the work is small, I might be able to squeeze it in. If you would like for me to go ahead with any of this, just let me know. I won't do anything until I hear from you. Later, when we both have more time, I might be able to help you with the trailers and "Coming Soon". Best Regards, Old Dog

Sounds good. I downloaded the latest source file with your changes so we both have the latest and greatest. If you want to post the changes to the wiki, go ahead. That way others can benefit from the changes. I'm not very creative when it comes to graphical ideas and such, so I will have to rely on the skinners to give suggestions on what they would like to see.
If we just stay in communication as to what we are changing, adding, whatever I don't see any reason we both can't work on it. I really want to re-write the gettheaterlistings.exe program from scratch. I have already started on some code for it using the yahoo movies page instead of Fandango (will add this as an option as well). HTML parsing is always just so damn messy though, I hate it. Too bad there aren't any public web services for theater listings (at least that I know of). Brian Brian_W Wrote:Sounds good. Brian,
When I updated the Theater Listings entry in the wiki I updated the images as well. I used what I had handy, one of my skins of course. You might want to change these over to "Blue". Best Regards, Old Dog

I've seen a few posts recently where the author implies that with the new BaseSkin standardization scheme, skinners won't need to create skin.xml files for all the plug-ins.
Well, if the skinners don't create these files, who does?
I want to send a Kudos here.
Old Dog has given the community (probably) the most complete skinning system ever designed! Works with virtually every plugin there is posted on the wiki, and allows easy changing of the complete look and feel to whatever colour/button scheme anyone could want. This was my original vision when I posted the (now extremely long) thread about too many plugins. Any user can download Plain Jane, and it will work with any plugin they have (almost?). p.s. any plans to include this?: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/CheckEmail
You can never have enough tuners!

Are you referring to baseskin.xml or the skin BaseSkin by MixMan? BaseSkin does not provide the "answer" in your question. (That includes any talk about images standards)
