In the ZProcess.zip run the RemoveZprocess.reg and then start again with fresh settings. If you are using version 820 and trying to transcode an avi, there should be no 'errors' in the log. At all...

Let's give that a whirl

murf64 Wrote:Zehd, I tried the new file, but still no luck. In this log you'll see the last transcode was with ffmpeg and it didn't give the type 13 error. I should also add that while the ffmepeg transcode works on my computer, it does not seem to work when I try to call them up on the MVP. It usually causes the MVP to reboot.

Thanks for all your help.

THe MVP Reboots because there is no file being created (Transcode is failing). GBPVR gets upset because it expects a file.

Well it's hard to say if you're the only one...

Anyway, the log makes more sense to me, and I should be able to sort this out tonight.

BTW, can you also send the ZProcessRegSettings.txt found in the main ZProcess folder...

We'll get this, one way or another

OK, Here's the zprocess log. Also, looking into my mplayer folder, where mencoder.exe is, I see that the codec folder is empty. I downloaded it as per instructions, but shouldn't there be some codecs in there? If not what should be in the mplayer folder?

Murf, the file you sent me was basiaclly empty. Two reasons I can think of. One, it's the wrong file (don't see how) or got emptied somehow, or two, ZProcess has been unable to write any settings to the registry at all.

The second case makes the most sense for the type of trouble you have: you painstakingly setup ZProcess, and when you run it, it errors. That's because it doesn't have any data to set up the settings...

Make sure you have admin rights and that ZProcess is able to read and write the registry...

Here's the registry keys to look at in Regedit...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ZERITECH\ZProcess

If there's nothing there, then that's your problem...

Here's another build... 827...

It's added a bunch of logging so I can see more accurately where the errors are starting...

Again, Please attach both the current log and the ZProcessRegSettings.txt in a zip file...

These can't be the same...

Code:
1/5/2007 8:23:04 AM : ZProcess path: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\FFmpeg\ffmpeg.exe :
1/5/2007 8:23:04 AM : FFmpeg   path: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\FFmpeg\ffmpeg.exe :

If ZProcess is known as ffmpeg.exe then the real ffmpeg.exe should have been renamed 'fmpeg.exe' (one f)

On the directories tab, when you browse for ffmpeg, make sure that the icon is NOT a lightening bolt...
