tipstir Wrote::eek: fla, I know you've work on but there is some sort of problem after I had installed this program. Cause all my RAM to be used up quickly and all GBRecordings services grew to over 200KB and GBPVR.exe too way out of control. Also caused the system to be come unstable to point where now I've recovery from backup image...
This reminds me of a problem described in this thread. I did not write these plugins but if I see some logs or replication steps I'll volunteer to fix another bug.

It seems like on some systems after installing XRecord, the recording service can be sent into an infinite loop that allocates memory.

fla Wrote:The uninstaller should be in the gbpvr directory. It should also be possible to uninstall XRecord from the Windows control panel Add Remove programs. If you didn't clear your browser cache, you may have downloaded the older XRecord version. The timestamp on xrecord-setup.exe for 0.47e is 19/03/2007 2:08PM. At the end of installation if you click "Show details", the last line tells you where the uninstaller was created.

I see xrecord-uninstaller.exe in my c:\program files\gbpvr dir now. It's also in my Add/Remove Programs list. Where I was looking is Start Menu->GB-PVR for a menu item to uninstall XRecord.

*[ 1683400 ] Episode description missing from OSD
*[ 1683720 ] XRecord shows invalid time for reoccurring recordings

I installed this version and don't see either of those as being fixed.

1683400: Show name and filename are displayed, no description.
1683720: Displays correct date, time is wrong.

Attached are screenshots to show what I'm looking at. I used GB-PVRs Recordings function to display the correct time.

I just tried this from the ready menu, from the pending menu and from the guide. I even tried with "schedule once" and with "record all episodes" and with new and old recordings and it works everywhere. Are your recordplugin.dll and fastfindplugin.dll and guid2j.dll in the plugins directory dated March 19th 2:06pm-2:07pm?

I only fixed the 01/01/0001 problem you mentionned earlier. The bizarre times in the image you posted are also shown by gbpvr's record plugin in the screen just before. When you select it to edit it, the time gets fixed. The only episodes in my EPG for this show are at 12:05AM-12:35AM. I don't know where gbpvr comes up with 10:35PM - 1:35AM (xrecord also displays 10:35PM in this case).

For a timeslot recording, GB-PVR's reoccurring entry in the Recording screen shows the timeslot. ie, it'll schedule shows with this title that start +/-2hrs of the original show scheduled. The show details are showing the times that show ran.

Figured it out. When you select a show's folder with OK, then select a show with OK, then select the Play button with OK, the show information shows up when I hit Ctrl-B. When I select a show's folder with OK, then select a show with Play, the show information doesn't show up with Ctrl-B.

With the Recording start time, it works fine when I create the reoccurring recording with XSearch, and it displays as Daily at 11pm in GB-PVR Recordings->Reoccuring. When I create the same recording in GB-PVR Recordings, it displays as Daily at 11pm in GB-PVR Recordings->Reoccurring, but displays as starting at 9:30pm in XRecord->Reoccurring.

Thanks for the excellent replications steps Wakalaka. I'll take a look tomorrow. Today I'm fixing my car.

Zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

Do you have your playback decoder explicitly selected, or are you using the 'system default' setting?

Fixed the case of the play button (Ctrl-P). Will be in the next release.

Just posted 0.47f to the wiki. It includes the following bug fixes.

*[ 1683400 ] Episode description missing from OSD (case with play button)
*[ 1684030 ] Channel zero refused and sorting bizarre
*[ 1684883 ] PageUp and PageDown reversed in reoccurring screen
*[ 1685286 ] Rounded rects in XSearch are bizarre

Details:

Bug 1683400 was mostly fixed in 0.47e but the problem still occurred when playing using the play button instead of clicking the play button.

Bug 1684030 concerns the config.exe's XGuide settings screen. Sorting was not numerical and channel zero was refused even though gbpvr accepts it.

Bug 1684883 is self explanatory.

Bug 1685286 makes the fancy tails on the XSearch rounded rects optional.
