Yeah it it. Can you check in your devnz\gbpvr\plugins\musiclibrary2 directory and see if interop.wmplib.dll is there.

And do you get any errors when running MLUpdater, or does it just not look like it's doing anything??

I got rid of mine on my dev box and installed from the package (found the interop thing above in the wrong place) then ran it. If did this:
Code:
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins\MusicLibrary2>mlupdater -update
13/07/2007 8:11:44 a.m. INFO    MusicLibrary2: Internal ML Logging Started
13/07/2007 8:11:45 a.m. INFO    Using System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteFactory
13/07/2007 8:11:45 a.m. INFO    MLUpdater Started
Starting Manual scan of media @ 13/07/2007 8:11:45 a.m.
13/07/2007 8:11:45 a.m. INFO    MLUpdater: Full scan started
Manual Scan: Scanning for Files...
Manual Scan: Reading MP3 tags...
Manual Scan: Reading MP3 tags...(0)
Manual Scan: Finished Update
13/07/2007 8:11:49 a.m. INFO    MLUpdater: Full scan completed
Scan of media complete.

Because there was nothing new. I cleared my db and ran it again and got:
Code:
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins\MusicLibrary2>mlupdater -update
13/07/2007 8:14:42 a.m. INFO    MusicLibrary2: Internal ML Logging Started
13/07/2007 8:14:42 a.m. INFO    Using System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteFactory
13/07/2007 8:14:42 a.m. INFO    MLUpdater Started
Starting Manual scan of media @ 13/07/2007 8:14:42 a.m.
13/07/2007 8:14:42 a.m. INFO    MLUpdater: Full scan started
Manual Scan: Scanning for Files...
Manual Scan: Reading MP3 tags...
Manual Scan: Reading MP3 tags...(0)
Manual Scan: Reading MP3 tags...(10)
Manual Scan: Reading MP3 tags...(20)
Manual Scan: Reading MP3 tags...(30)
Manual Scan: Reading MP3 tags...(40)
etc....

Yep, that did it, it's very fast, it doesn't do a full (complete) scan anymore does it? Only if you delete your db3?

It hasn't actually ever done a full scan for a while. I lists all the files, but checks the date modified of the file against what is stored in the database.

Only if they differ does it actually read the files tags.

I might add a command line option for ignoring the date and scanning everything again if your prefer.

I don't think I'd need that. If I want a full rescan I can always delete the db3.
Afaik the ml2updater always did a full rescan of all the files.

Maybe, shouldn't have though, I would have got rid of that as a bug.

I've done it this way cos some people have REALLY large collections that put my 4000 tracks to shame, and a full scan (especially across a network) are really slow.

I might add that full scan option (rather that the delete the db, cos then you loose the direcotories and playlists set up).

That might be handy.

Anything new on the not skipping songs? Is it a ML2 problem or a pvrx2 problem? I think I read something about people having problems skipping.

The 'nuke library' already does that via the plugin configurator, but that might be to distant for the casual user.

Are you using GBPVR or pvrx2? And MVP or PC?

I just loaded in my one (PC and GBPVR) started a playlist and hit skip...it worked.k, but if you are running PC and PVRX2, then no the skip doesn't work... Hmm, must be like the stop command found in pre-testing - I always just left it, and GBVR used to handle it, whereas now I actually has to do something with it.

Yeah i'd say it is, and it kills your playlists as well. The only thing it does delete are you drives.

This is with pvrx2 through the mvp.
