[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Are you trying to play the DVD from the hard drive or a DVD rom drive?

I'm using a DVD rom drive. I get sound in PowerDVD 4 and I have tried to play around with the sound settings there to see if they affected GBpvr (I thought that maybe it sends the sound to the digital-out,but I couldn't find any settings like that in PowerDVD). I'm using the onborad sound (analouge) on my VIA M10000.

I've been trying to reproduce this error message during configuration, with no luck so far. I've tried on several machines.

What exactly do you need to do to reproduce it? Are you just clicking the "Add" button on the Capture Source tab of the config app, or are you deeper in the configuration?

Can one of you guys with the DVD problem please try it again, then zip and email all your *.log files from c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr? Email it to me at support@devnz.com

Can someone that is unable to hear sound in a DVD please download the updated version of GB-PVR from http://www.gbpvr.com/Setup018f.exe

This is the same release, with some additional diagnostic features to help track down what is happening.

When you try to view a DVD with this release, it will try to save a file "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\lastdvdgraph.grf" which can be opened in GraphEdit. If someone could try this, then email me a screenshot of the graph, it would be a great help.

I'm at work at the moment, I will try when I get home and let you know.

I am not sure if its related but I have a VIA MII12000 so probably using the same sound chip as nkh.

Yes, the download link is broken at the moment whilst I wait for some feedback on a couple of bugs.

Hi Sub,

The error that I get on my set-up appears as soon as I click the Add button. Everytime. The error I get is:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
   <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.[/QUOTE]
Hope this helps.

Cheers Rob,

BTW, Thanks for the improvements you've added that I've asked for previously, e.g. the colours for images on the MVP are miles better!
