You mean I can't use it with GBPVR. Seems a bit inconvenient from where I sit.
I've been thinking of upgrading to a dual tuner card. This looks like an opportunity to either do that or ditch GBPVR. I've got the money for a card and I think I'll try that first.
I have found the Hauppauge pvr350MCE, but that seems to rely on Windows Media Center. I'm not spending money on WMC unless coerced.
Suggestions?
The PVR350 is fully compatible with GB-PVR as a capture card, but the special TV out feature of this card is buggy and no longer supported by GB-PVR. This is no great loss though, you can still use your video card for output to the TV.

the thing if you are going to use pvrx2(vmr) your video card will is below spec aswell sorry to be the bearer of bad news
So, you're saying I could justify a whole new box?

I'd really like to stick with a "whole package"approach that I've enjoyed over the past few years. I don't use my PVR everyday, but I really enjoy the capability it affords me to time shift and pause/rewind live TV.
Hauppauge ships a basic package with the card, but I was much happier with GBPVR.
Do you think the PVR 500 is worth sticking with and do you actually need Windows Media Center to use both tuners?
OK guys, back to the question at hand. Assuming the combination of video/audio codecs are a contributing factor to the original problem, does anyone have recommendations for a set that is known to work with 1.08? Preferably these would be available for a low or zero cost? What are people using here?
