Well I've done more tests and the patch works for me.

Thanks again.

this patch seems to be working for me, sorta...if I put the machine to sleep (s3) manually, the system seems to wake up as it should. I ran another test where I let windows (XP SP2) put the system to sleep (s3, I think) automatically and the system did not wake up to perform a recording.

Looked at the logs and can't really tell how that seems to work. How and when does the program write the log files for the recordings cause I can't seem to see in any of the 4 files where my new recordings are written. Does the log get written to immediately after a recording has been programmed in?

I'm running v1.0.16 with all patches listed in the survivor guide.

For some reason this patch isn't working for me. I triple checked that I had the correct dll in place, but it doesn't wake up to record from either standby or hibernation. I've tried 5 shows, but it never turned on. Could the change be different based on your OS? I'm running Vista, but I know most people aren't. It' just a wild guess.

You'll probably find on Vista you didnt really manage to replace the file, so the Recording Service is still using the old version of the file. You most like only created a version of the file visible in your user account (ie in the AppData\Local\VirtualStore directory), and the recording service which runs as a different account is still using the original file.

Right again. It was not running the updated file. I got rid of the other file and everything is good again.

I'm running Windows XP and having the same issue that people were earlier in the string. Stupid question: To install the patch, do I just erase the previous version of the dll file in the GB-PVR directory and replace it with the patch dll file?
