I'm running with a M6000 with PVR350 but I also have an XCard installed I use the XCard TV out so I can Play DVDs out of the same output as everything else. Ths system is very stable, I have it so that it goes into standby when not in use and wakes up to record and this all works reliably. It runs for days on end without any attention.
The only downside of the system is how slow the meus are, I have thought about upgrading to a more powerful machine but the one I have is nice and silent as it sits under the TV.
I'm going try upping the priority of the GBPRV process as suggested above and see if that improves matters.

I tried changing the priority of the GBPVR process last night and it really made a noticable difference to the responsiveness of the menus. I would say the response time to a key press on the remote is half the time it was.
I created a batch file with the following line in it:
START /HIGH GBPVR
I put this in the GBPVR directory and put a shortcut to it in the startup folder in the startup folder in the start menu.
I also have a Wake.bat file which is run by GBPVRwake when I come out of standby, this stops and restarts GBPVR (which I seem to need to do to keep the X Card TV Out working). I also modified this to start the GBPVR process at high priority.
