Tried sub's suggestion out yesterday, adding a line <FSERestartDelay>1000</FSERestartDelay> into the config (couldn't see an existing entry for it?). However on coming out of standby that gave me a black screen needing an Alt-F4 to get back to the desktop.

Did I add the entry correctly? Anyone else had any luck trying this out?

An extra half second over the default (500) probably isnt going to make any difference. I'd try a big number like 20 seconds initially (20000).

FSERestartDelay didn't work for me but I have another really bad bodge, which seems to work for me. Works better than my last bodge anyway...

I made a small batch file and used the Hip scheduler to execute this on resume.

c:\progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\sleep.exe 1
c:\progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\pvrx2.exe

If you get the message, then after one second, GBPVR is restarted. It doesn't seem to bother GBPVR if the warning dialogue is open when it starts, and if the warning doesn't appear, the command is harmless.

You can tweak the number of seconds before the restart.

sleep.exe is available from http://www.computerhope.com/dutil.htm

FSERestartDelay didn't work for me either. I also don't have the HIP scheduler, so does anyone know of a way to launch a batch file when the PC comes out of hibernation and starts PVRX2.exe. It crashes every time after it comes out of hibernation, and then for some reason when I turn my TV back on, I see the login screen instead of auto-logging in which it does after a manual restart. It seems that he crash prevents my PC from completing the process of coming out of hibernation and starting up PVRX2.exe. Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like you need to go to power options advanced tab and change then login setting after standby

Have you found a way to detect the "does not support the required VMR9 renderer" error?

I'm running a modified version of your script but find that this error box stops the script from running. I guess that ideally we need away to detect when this error pops up and send a key press to dismiss the message and allow the script to continue?

No, I haven't found a way to detect or handle this yet. Suggestions welcome.

perhaps I could send a "return and ESC" to the window. I'll try and take a look.

Has anyone tried using the modified version of StartGBPVR.exe to delay the launching of PVRX2.exe? I was running GBPVR.exe in VMR9 exclusive mode and using StartGBPVR.exe and it was not crashing. Maybe its possible to modify the autoit script do delay long enough for the video card to initialize properly before launching PVRX2.exe.

that may well work and would be worth doing if you get frequent VMR9 errors. It's just a bit of a PITA to add extra delays to the starting of gbpvr.

What's the last line in the message log when this error occurs?
Perhaps the script(s) could check the last line and if it finds error xxxxx, kill and restart pvrx2.
