I've done some work on the 'separate days' thing & I think I have found an elegant way to implement this. However, webgrab is 100% functional for what it does now, so it's not on my list of things to do a.s.a.p. (especially with the nice weather we're having lately ;-).

I'm thinking of implementing a 'smart mode' that detects an earlier downloaded epg guide and ifso; switches to only downloading the 1st, 2nd and last day (as configured). This would effectively skip 4 days of 'unnessecary' downloading.

That was exactly what I meant. Amontillado's TVGidsToXML had that, worked very nice.

Going to mow the lawn now. Don't worry, it's not that big.:p

FYI

A typo on one of the bbc pages made regular text look like HTML, one of my routines that strips HTML code from the text choked on that. I fixed the issue, the new version 1.5.1 also introduces some better logging and can be found on my website http://www.servercare.nl

Yep the lawn got mown.Smile
I noticed this afternoon that there was no epg-info for the BBC, so i thought hat must be the error you were talking about, so I installed the latest version, but still no programmes shown.
I now see that webrab is still running Sad, I guess there's a problem with tvgids.nl. I'll try again later.

Wow you're on top of it ;-)

I did a successful download this afternoon. Let me know if you keep having issues!

(b.t.w.: the issue was with BBC2, I just did a quick test & all seems well now)

As the subject sais: a new version 1.6.2 is available which introduces 'smart downloading' (only the days you really need) and also fixes a issue recently bugging the tvgids.nl pages for veronica (double listings with incorrect times)

I installed the latest version, but it won't run. I assume you have put the time-lock (17.00-23.00) back on.Smile
I'll try later.

I ran it with smart mode enabled, it does what you stated: it downloads day 1,2 and the last day. But the saved xml also only contains those three days.
That's not nice if you have complete reload epg enabled in gbpvr-config.
It would be nice if the days that were not downloaded would still be merged into the xml file.
I switched of smart-mode for now.
