gbpvr media experience

Still have problems with my videos using the correct button & background, it using the background thats in the main skin directory, also it seems to be using menubutton.png & menubutton_focus.png which are the default blue, if i remove them gbpvr will not start. When i download gbpvrme.zip all that is there is the skin for blue, which i assume give my the blue default buttons

ok i just downloaded it from the wiki to check, and its fine, you stuffed it up somehow.
just download it again and unzip it.

Yesterday I installed your skin and the visuals are great. However I ran into several problems. Mainly because I use plugins that your skin has no pictures for. For instance the video library (built in into GBPVR), jukebox and findfast. I tried to copy taks.png images from other directories in order to have the main menu working. THis caused errors of the kind that task.png was not found, even when there was one. Also on second hover over that menu-item, a picture was shown.

Another thing I thought was that if the "playing now" bar is visible it would be great when the play-button is pressed in that bar, the music pauses. If the bar is clicked anywhere, the music-menu is automatically activated. This may be problematic as there are at least three music modules that can be playing: jukebox, my music and the original music library.

BUt, the visuals are GREAT.

you cant have click events in the panels, so theres nothing i can do about the play button on the panel.

for other plugins and the task issues, its not my fault, its not a gbpvr me related error.

i only use the plugins i skinned, i have no plans to extend the skin to accomodate plugins i dont use, that said, if someone wants to add support for these skins, they can, however most of the other plugins wont match this skin, since the skinning is limited and looks crap (music album being a prime example, great plugin, just you cant skin it).

i think i know what the problem was with the other plugins, im pretty sure theres no "background.jpg" file in the skins root directory ie gbpvr\skin\media experience\background.jpg, since i use a custom background for each plugin, so you would need to put a background.jpg file into that (as many plugins reference the background as "..\background.jpg", ie the skins root directory).

I tried the suggestion of putting a background.jpg in the skin root. However, there was one, and I still get the messages. The messages do not state anything, only a path to a task.png file (like: ./skin/media experience/jukebox/task.png) and an OK button. That's all! Funny thing is that the first time I select for instance jukebox, it gives two of these small windows. Once I've OK-ed them away they will not show up again on that menu-item. Until I have exited and restarted gbpvr.

Another question I have is in the menu's there is a horizontal thin line visible. Is it there on purpose?

oh do you mean a popup box pops up and tells you the task.png location?

theres a common plugin used to develop other plugins, in this source code, in the "getTaskimage" method theres a popup message set to show up, it was probably set for debugging, and some plugin developers havent removed this from their code, since task images werent that common they probably didnt catch this, so its the plugins fault, i cant do anything about it, the source has to be updated.

and the horizontal line is suppose to be there, i split items up that way, "my tv","my music","my pics","my vids" | "weather","email","shut down"
