Did you happen to try the method in the post I linked above?

I just installed 1.2.13 over an existing install of 1.2.9 last night. Of course I did a backup of just about everything before ... Big Grin
Seems to run fine now, will try to scan channels tonight.

Found some time to try it out. Didn't help much, though, GBPVR crashed during scan. Logs attached.

Funny, my GBPVR started crashing out while watching live TV again, this was the original fix for that (see DanielP's attachment at the bottom of the page)
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...live+crash
,and it's just fixed it again for me, windowsupdate/xp sp3, or something must be replacing those files. might help the scanning issue too.

I also have the crash on Channel Scan, seems to generally make it about 1/4 of the way to completion each time. I tried all the previous suggestions form this and related threads, no luck. Running Windows XP SP2, with HDHomerun. GBPVR 1.2.13 was installed over a previous working installation. Reverted back to 1.2.9 did channel scan with no problems and upgraded back to 1.2.13. Working again. Unfortunately I need to do channel scans periodically, this is going to get time consuming. Exactly what files should I backup to ease this transition back and forth in the future?

Included JIT Debugger log and / zipped log files

To save the full uninstall/install I'd suggest temporarily uninstalling just the new GBPVRTSMon.ax

stop recording service
regsvr32 /u GBPVRTSMon.ax
run config
do scan
regsvr32 GBPVRTSMon.ax

Thanks for posting to my old post!

I had actually updated my Hauppauge drivers, had the crash problem and forgotten my own suggestion!

Previously, whenever things start crashing, a reinstall of that Nova patch seems to fix everything. I am half wondering if a recent driver/directx/ms update patch hasn't over-written one of these files at some point.

Why Hauppauge just can't fix their drivers, I don't know.

Maybe their driver development team drinks in the same bar as Nvidia's?!!

I get the same on my system. (2xNova DT500) Gets to about 5of6 and then crashes out - seems to do it on all the tuners. If I keep scanning and crashing it gets almost all the channels (doesn't fail at the same point each time).
However I can't do the same as some of you as my 1.2.9 install starts and then backs out, so I'm at 1.1.5 for the moment.

Same here, with a Blackgold card if that makes any difference. It gets to 14 of 95.

Another "me too". Upgraded to 1.2.13 OK, all well, then needed to scan a new tuner - repeated crashes. Went back to 1.2.9 - Freeview scans OK, but scanning Astra 2D with a HVR-4000 crashes every time (95 muxes, gets through 20-30 of them. Cyberlink scans OK and grabs all 533 free satellite channels). I'd love a fix for this. Tried everything suggested so far with no luck.
