Im thinking this is QAM related. I got an HD Antenna and im running through that now instead of pulling the QAM signal and the channels appear fine without having to flip up or down to another digital channel to get them to work.

But now im running into my old nemesis that after a minute or so the channel starts to degrade and gets all choppy. Once I close out of GBPVR and load it back up its fine again for another minute or so. Ive tried both Cyberlink and ffdshow as my H.264 Decoders and they both seem to do the same thing.

The H.264 decoders are not used for QAM. Attempt to watch QAM via Live TV then watch a recorded QAM program and zip and attach the pvrx2*.log files

Ahh ok, I will play with my Mpeg 2 Video Decoders. I had tried multiple different ones with H.264 and it made no difference. Now I see why. I will do some tinkering and if it doesnt work I will supply logs and such. Thanks for the info.

The logs will show exactly which decoders are being used when playing a recorded file and also exactly which decoders are being used when watching live tv.

I just wanted to say i am having the exact same problem. I have an HVR 1600 QAM

Did something change between 1.2.9 and 1.2.13 that would cause this.

Most likely there has been a change in your filter merits since you recently installed new decoders. I would need to see your logs after attempting to view live tv and playing a recording.

Ive tried with several different decoders.

System: EVGA Motherboard, Opteron 165 Processor overclocked to 2.2ghz
2 Gigs system ram
HD2600pro Video Card
Most recent version of GBPVR
Windows XP Pro

Try downloading AC3Filter and using that for your audio decoder.

To update. The AC3 filter doesnt seem to make a difference. My video still starts hitching all over the place after about a minute or so of viewing. If I exit back to the TV guide and then go back into the show then its good for another minute or so then it starts up again. Temperatures look good. CPU usage is low. Around 10-12%.

Will keep trying.

Thanks for the ideas nonetheless.
