ok, I tried that and now it is a black screen and occasionally there are white flashes on the screen.

I tried the tuning assistant. and it was picking up channels.
But when i ran the MuxChecker. It said there was No mux filter. (my pc is running Xp Pro SP2)

The Mux filters are only used for digital tuners (ATSC, QAM, DVB-S, etc).. but since you're using an analog source, it doesn't matter.

Are you correctly specifying the channel numbers for GBPVR to tune to? In the Config, go to Capture Sources and edit your source. In the Edit Recording Source window that opens, be sure each of your channels has the correct "Source Channel." For instance, if CNN comes on channel 50, then the source channel for CNN needs to be 50. This is so that GBPVR knows which physical channel to tune to.

Where are you getting your channels from? ie, the tuner with antenna/cable plugged in, or via a set top box with svideo/composite? Check you have that input source set appropriately on the screen where you selected the card type.

Thats definitely not how you had it set in your last logs. The logs clearly show you had it set to use either the svideo or composite inputs, which would also explain the black screen you were getting. I'd double check that setting.

Where would i change that?

Sorry for being such a n00b. I have never tried this program before. And have never used any program like this.

Edit: Changed my Capture source to.

Internal Tuner. Set the next box to Cable.

Now i see there is a picture. Testing out audio.

Everything works great. Just that When i pause live tv. I go to unpause it (by clicking again on the Pause sign) It takes me back to the main menu.

And where is the settings to change the recording quality? From medium to High?

Check that the live tv buffer directory you have specified in the config app actually exists.

The default recording profile is always 'medium', but you can change 'medium' to whatever bitrate you want. You cant change the video resolution or audio bitrate with your particular device, since it uses a scheme incompatible with the way GB-PVR usually does it.

Does that directory exist, and will the recording service (running as "localsystem" account) have the permissions to write to the directory?

If so, then reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
