Yeah, that would be great.

Agreed, if you change your mind and don't want to watch a reminded show after all, you always have the stop-button Smile

Works for me. It would be cool if there was some visible indication in the guide that a show has been "booked" (like turning it blue, as psycik indicated was possible in a previous version of GBPVR), but beggars can't be choosers.

I am looking forward to the notification that an option to "Watch" a future program without recording has been implemented.

That part is already there in PVRX2. If you move to a future show and press the Play button on the remote, the show will turn blue. It just doesn't do anything else.

Can i interest anyone in working play reminders? I'll even add a voice warning before it happens..["Show XXXX is about to start on channel XXX"] so you could do it yourself..

since the 'leftovers' are still there, namely the database and coloring the guide blue part, i can discern the rest from the database...then wait on a timer till the appropriate time, set the 'Last Channel" in the registry and startup a pvrx2.exe -livetv if it's not running , or just send "F2" keys to running pvrx2 to start live tv if pvrx2 is already up...

the idea seems sound, i can already get the info needed and stick it in the registry...
does anybody know if you can startup livetv on a certain channel?
[from command line]
still some testing to do on the play mechanisms...
may juts leave it as a voice prompt, as those don't interfere with anything you could be doing at the time...even playing audio will continue with an extra 'voice' over it..Smile

any interest/ideas?
i'll probably add ability to autosearch for things to remind of eventually...like:
Remind me whenever a show with John Wayne comes on..
Big Grin
[but for now, only the stuff you can turn blue]

bummer, if you exit pvrx2, the marked shows are no longer blue in the guide...Sad

but everything else works...working on a scheduler to fire off the proper events now..

Sub, whenever you look at this feature in the future, please make sure to check it after pvrx2 restarts as they don't stay blue the way it works currently...
i'm just glad there's enough leftover functionality to work with..Smile

btw, is there such a thing as a 'global' popup that can popup no matter where you in pvrx2?

For 1.4 I'll add in basic support for these watch reminders. As mentioned above, I wont display any popups though.

cool....should be able to work it then...i'll just take my channel change out when you get it integrated back into the program..

any pointers on how to add a wakeup event to the windows list?
and is there any way to query the existing wake list besides looking in logs?

adding shouldn't be too hard, but not finding *anything* on the query of existing events..
[i'm probably looking in wrong area]
