One stupid question (so far anyway), I can't find where mvpmcx2 was to replace it.....exactly where does it go?

It usually goes in the the mvpmc share, which the dummies guide install defaults to C:\mvpmc. If you don't remember if you changed it from the command prompt try the command

net share

I found it. Working great now. Just wish I had more time now to play. I'm sure I'll be back later with more dumb questions.

This is probably obvious, but to make sure. comskip support of H.264 does require the "donation" version. See this post where someone else was trying the non donation version.

That was the biggest deal for me.

comskip is nice, but having the ability to skip comercials while the recording is still in progress beats all.

martin....when using the new version where does the actual video stream come from?

If you recall I have been using the share option so that the PCH pulls the video from the NAS rather than streaming it from the GBPVR PC due to issues I was having when recording 3-4 HD programmes at the same time I was trying to watch an already recorded HD programme that resides on the NAS.

I didn't change the the filename selection logic so it should play from the NAS, I would expect that direct access will be faster for skipping if the SDK is up to it. The first 1 MB of the file is read directly via GB-PVR and although that could be optimized for a NAS it won't impact things much. If you want this version is supposed to work in HDMI mode using the old method so you could try yourself, the filename used will be the same.

Martin.

So if I load it up....HDMI should work as it does today.....if I switch over to component I will then get the new goodies....correct?
