theres an error occuring when its trying to load it with gbpvr, it fails to load, so gbpvr doesnt display it in the menu. can you attach the new config.xml file with "%FILENAME%" there and the new gbpvr.exe.log.

Sure thing. Again, I had to change the ext. of the config file to send here.

oh bugger its still trying to do something in the tags class. can you make sure that "UltraID3Lib.dll" is in the gbpvr root directory. as thats the only place that file is accessed, and might be causing the problem.

I'm having the exact problem as pcostanza.
(Have done everything you told pcostanza to do)

The "UltraID3Lib.dll" is in my gbpvr root directory.

ok pcostanza can you try this attached mymusicplugin.dll, it shouldnt load, but it has more debugging stuff to help tell me where to look for the bug. please no one else, if your not having this issue, dont download this, the only difference is that its writing more stuff to the gbpvr.exe.log.

then run gbpvr, and submit your gbpvr.exe.log file.

Thanks for hanging in there!

ok that crashed before any of the debugging lines were printed out. can you create two items in the virtual root, eg two "Dirs" that contain, no audio files (so theres nothing to scan for), and try and run it again. hopefully it will actually load.

Yep, that did it. Now, what is it exactly I need to do to use it with the 'real' music directory?
Great work. Thanks for not giving up.

ok in one of those directories, create another directory place an mp3 in that so
virtural root element (say D:\my music)
off that D:\my music\directory\directory\song.mp3 (must be two steps in, since it scans for a music file in each directory to get the album info). once you navigate to say D:\my music\directory it should crash, then attach your gbpvr.exe.log file, hopefully somethign useful will be printed out.
