sub Wrote:ok. I've added pin code protected folders for the next release. At the moment its only in the Video Library, but I'll consider adding it to the Recordings screen as well.
May I suggest to add this function to the Pictures library as well? I am happy to share most of them with my guests, but some I rather keep to my family.

PS: Upgrade went very smooth again this time, apart from a minor glitch with Community Skin (reported there)

I get this error when I try to use this feature.

What skin are you using? The skin might need to be updated.

If he is still using Blue-Retro-SHV it DOES need updating, this is on my "to do" list that I will get to soon.

Ok tried it with blue skin and it works.. kinda. When I enter it asks for the password, no problem, but as I explore subfolders, then attempt to use the ".." in the protected folder it wont back out of the protected folder and the ".." disapears so I cant go to the unprotected folders. I exit to main menu, then go to videos library again and it goes back to the protected folder without asking for a PIN code. Need any logs?

I just double checked and its not doing that here.

Give me an example of the directory structure you've got and where the file is, and I'll try to replicate.

Thats the expected behaviour. I decided to keep things simple for this feature I didnt really want to spend my time on, and it's your own fault if you leave it sitting in an unlocked directory.

This is my setup

C: is OS drive
D: has everything else, videos, recordings, etc.

D:\Videos (has all my videos)

Trying to protect Movies sub folder which has sub folders of each movie

So its D:\Videos\Movies (that we want to protect) and I have the protect.txt file in the Movies folder.

Yeah, I agree. It shouldnt be doing that, and isnt here.

I was just commenting that if you leave it unlocked in a directory then go back to the main menu, someone can come along later click on Video Library and get taken to the directory you previously unlocked.
