Cant remember what its officially called or which way round it is...but with a pinch of salt.....Radio times listings come in as BBC1 BBC2 etc... but the broadcast names are BBC ONE BBC TWO etc....
So the RT fixer just reformats the xml file to match up with the broadcast info...just takes the legwork out of matching epg mappings to scan mappings

Think it is called alt channel names or something like that. Only works re-naming RT listings with XMLTV afaik. There's a couple of files that need to be in RT scripts and an Alt Ch Names .txt which is where you can play with all the re-namings. Then just select it to run in XMLTV's post processing, it is quite handy!

Thanks elmo, as I am not mapping to a EPG, I have no need for it, just using RT XMLTV, but plan getting a Nova-T in the future

I'm having same problem scanning in the UK using DVB-T
Some channels are fine and have both picture and audio but others only have the picture. Checking the mapping all the ones without sound have the "Audio #2" mapping. I did a fresh install and downloaded the config patch from this thread but neither has not helped. Any ideas on a fix.

rapepperuk Wrote:Any ideas on a fix. It is slightly messy at present it would appear. You have to select "none" as an EPG source for the tuner. Then go into the mapping bit and select the non-#2 line for the channel. Then set the EPG back to what it was. (the EPG bit is needed to make the column appear in the mapping bit).

Thanks martint123 - muddled through the work around as described but what a PIA !! Think this needs a proper fix asap.
For some reason the second tuner wont even scan for channels so I'm running on one card for now Richard

I tried GB-PVR about a year ago and didnt build my machine around it but I am back. Have to confess I find the tuning rather complicated and not intuitive. I'm getting there but all the Audio #3 channels confuses matters.

The gbpvr tuning mechanism has hit a bump in the road atm with it defaulting to audio #2/#3 channels. I'm sure it will get sorted soon but it's not like it's something you need to do every day. The only reason us Brits are on this post is cos of the Freeview retuning which is something of a rare event.
Although I only have 2 tuners, I rescanned, manually corrected the mis-assigned channels and I was done. Took about 5-10mins.
