Sounds good. If you have trouble, remove the last line and change 0=5 to 0=4. There was an "Unknown" channel on that frequency and it didn't list an aspect ratio.

Arggghhh! Still crashes Wil. I also tried removing the unknown and had no luck either. Gets to 3 out of 4 and crashes. I'll try a few other things before my recordings start and then more later.
Sorry you worked in vain.

I came home and was going to zip the logs, and now the problems are different than yesterday. When I ran the digital map, it found a bunch of off-air channels. When I tried to do tuner 2 (QAM), it complained about the BDA being in use. I still can't get anything working, but at least it found channels. I think I need to work a little harder at getting this going, since the symptoms are different. No point sending you logs from a problem that has changed (unless you think they are useful).

Thanks for your reply and I'll report back on my progress (or lack thereof).
Dean
Oh,
Also, even though I only mapped tuner 0 on the HDHR, it has tuner 1 channels listed, too. Maybe I misunderstand and these are just the channels found in the EPG from XMLTV, and not what has been mapped. I'm confused, so I need to study more.

I'll try again...don't think the zip actually got attached...
hamaholic Wrote:OK, I was able to map many channels and could tune live TV, although none of my EPG data was available. I had it working by deleting my HDHOMERUN_1 tuner and using only the _0. I noticed I was missing some off-air channels (I wanted to also get CH69, WUPA) so I tried re-scanning. It again crashed and I have attached the log file.

The other problem is that when I try to use the second tuner, it claims there is a BDA problem (I'm pretty sure the error was that it was already in use).

If you can tell anything from the log files that would help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dean

Do you have an amp on your line? all your channels seem to be a 100% strength. This tells me that the signal is either too hot or the HDHomeRun software is reporting the wrong signal strength again.

Try the QuickTV app and let me know if you have any channels where the video freezes on the first frame.

They all seem to freeze for a quick second and then play fine but one seems to freeze just a tad bit longer than the rest. The audio starts immediately.

FWIW I have the same problem with my hdhr in mediaportal after the 1024 firmware. I came here to see if this wasn't just an isolated mediaportal issue. Can we revert to an older hdhr firmware? If so, what would be a good one to pick?

For the record, I've had this problem for the last 4 updates.

I have the decent RF levels into the off-air equipment, and the cable side is pretty good (when I can get them to bring it into spec). I'm an RF engineer for a living, so I understand digital communications and signal integrity. Also, the HDHR app has no problems with tuning any of the signals. The HDHR is coupled from a two-way splitter which also drives my MyHD MDP-100. It also has no problems with the off-air signal (but doesn't have a QAM demodulator so it won't tune cable). When MediaPortal and/or GB-PVR find the channels, they are perfect, with no artifiacts. The HDHR quick view app tunes them all without problems.
Thanks,
Dean

I looked at the log file and see that many of the off-air signals are 100% strength. These are the ones my array is pointed at. These also report that they are locked with 100% quality, as well. If there was too much signal, I would think that the quality would report as being compromised, even though the signal was 100%, no?

Some of the ones off other directions of the array are (expectedly) down in strength and quality:
