Check that there is a 64 bit version of your video editing software.

Nope, it still works on the TechNet RTM editions.

Graham,
I have Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate. I thought it was 64 bit, not sure though.

I did want to mention that there were two additional issues I had to deal with, after installing 1.4.7 on Win 7.

1) I was having trouble getting my EPG to display. I zipped the log files and sub got back right away, telling me that I should delete the "Virtual Store" directory which shadows "Program Files\devnz\GBPVR". This apparently is also a problem on Vista. But since I had never installed GBPVR on Vista, I was unaware of it. Anyway, deleting the Virtual Store copy fixed the problem immediately.

2) Since I hadn't used a digital tuner before, I was unaware that the audio stream in the recorded .TS file required a special filter in order to play back.
The recommended solution was to download "AC3Filter" and install that.
Did it and it fixed the audio problem. Again, this is not a Win 7-specific problem, but I ran into it after upgrading my system and installing the new HVR-1600.

What I learned from all of this is to change ONE thing at a TIME. Or you may have additional troubleshooting to contend with.

FWIW - Moving from 32-bit to 64-bit as part of an OS upgrade is introducing another level of complexity and I decided to skip that this time. Smile
