Thanks, I will give it a shot. I wanted you to try those setting so you could give me the ratio's to use and show me how GBPVR modified the pixel aspect ratio on the fly. This is not a typical transform.

dvasco, with your sample I am able to force an aspect ratio that does what you want, even 1:1 looks pretty good, but I can't find a logical place to insert it since I am absolutely not going to add a fourth option on zoom. Would you be willing to give up real playback of real 4:3 files?

I don't know what real playback means. I could try it and revert to what I have now if I don't like it.

Real as in having 4:3 video to fill a 4:3 screen.

Unfortunately there are still too many real 4:3 shows for me to give it up.

I was thinking about this and on a 4:3 ratio monitor full doesn't have a lot of value so I will try it there The quality is certainly much better than capturing in standard 4:3

Cool. Hopefully something can be worked out. Yes, the quality is much better than standard 4:3, I have been very pleased with it.

Let me know how the attached works for you. I've added the change to the full screen mode so on 4:3 video displayed a 4:3 monitor, fit and crop don't change, but full shrinks the ratio to 1/1 (which is what I think you want). I can probably use other ratios but this looked the most normal to me.

It's perfect! Thanks a million Martin. Only one show doesn't show correctly but that is because it is an ATSC 4:3 encoded as 16:9 so no worries about that one. PM me your email so I can paypal you a small sum.

Glad it works, I expect that will be in the next "official" release. Just be aware that your solution is good way to capture the most bits, but the files are also non-standard.

As for paypal don't worry about it it took me much longer to understand what you wanted then to code the 3 lines required. If the money is burning a hole in your pocket consider Haiti and others around the world who really need it.
