Play NZ Freeview HD Files Over Network

ok the apacer one never got restocked
so i got the mediagate mg-m2tvd wireless N dongle etc
plays NZ spec dvb-t etc (one of the test files from the nzgeek http://www.geekzone.co.nz/Fossie/4877 the HD file does not play but my pc wouldnt play that either)

i think its the same realtek chipset as the apacer

Plays fine but i miss the way gbpvr works menus file organisation etc

cheap option if someone just wants to watch programmes in another room
and cant run cables

stustunz - regarding the mediagate m2tvd, I had considered it, but then had read complaints about the noisy fan (more on the first generation I think), as well as slow firmware updates (ie if you use the remote to turn it off, you then have to manually turn it back on) - how is it in real life?

From a brief look at he spec of the Mediagate, it appears that there is no ethernet port so it is necessary to have Wireless N in order to play media over the network. Is this correct?

yeah sorry should have said that
No wired network connection
only has a wireless N usb dongle which sometimes loses the connection, have to restart it to get the network to show again(can be done from remote)
has never happened in the middle of a movie only seems to lose the connection when you back out of the menu to go back to the main menu so im guessing something wrong with the programming

fan is fine cant hear it
remote works fine

yeah i have been reading all the bad reports of no firmware updates and no after sales service but it seems to do everything its meant to so hopefully dont have send it back or upgrade firmware

Can you tell me if the Apacer resumes play from a GB PVR file when playing from a network server?

Sorry about not replying IKBID - I've been otherwise occupied for a while. I also didn't have email notification of post's switched on but have hopefullly changed that now.

Resume does work for me when using the AL460 and going back to a file stored on my network that had been recorded using using GBPVR and previously partly watched using the AL460.
