Maybe I should have said, now that it is working well for me using the Base install, it might be worth moving the Favorites <StationList> node from the Addons to the Base install...

That's what I wrote on the config screen shown above, you will be able to config this on or off.

That will be the non-VIP ones then...

No AFAIK some non-VIP channels still require userid and password.

Does the Favorites check box refer to user favorites created using the Favorites button? if so, is there any reason for making ict onfigurable?

Yes, it is user favourites. This will be to make it appear in the list independent from the station files. It may be on by default, but I wanted be able to configure it off for those that want to make a custom look.

I guess if you don't have or want any favorites you don't want it showing on your menu could be a good reason??

Sounds good to me - especially if it's on by default - means that nobody should be clicking on the Favorites button and wondering why it's not working...

Having this setting off will allow me to make the button disappear and correspondingly Ctrl-K or Record won't work either.
