Clearly no older skins or plugins work with and this is a major deterrent to many people adopting NPVR. That being said, there are some plugins for NPVR popping up, and I expect these will be the most actively developed.

I'll give you as long as you like, because you're a genius, I just create plans!

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, and hope that the subtle nuances of your humour are lost in the sterile environment of online communication.

I've got a PM into whurlston about using his server and how to handle access. We can take it from there.

I knew they would not work. I deliberately made this point to stress the differences are no so obvious to most of the people visiting the GBPVR space! A feature comparison table on the old WIKI can help people estimate the efforts/investments needed to make the transition. I guess this table will also stimulate the writing of more detail (where ever).

I was just referring to the application itself.

All GB-PVR 3rd party plugins/add-ons/skins are for an entirely different application (GB-PVR vs NPVR). Just a statement that 3rd party add-ons are not compatible between the two should be enough. A different wiki (NPVR) IMHO would only need to show what is compatible.

I have not enough time with NPVR to be able to come up with a list of what is different between both applications "out of the box" as it were. A list of those differences may be useful.

Primarily, the Hardware requirements and add-ons required to get NPVR up and running should be put up front, at least during this early beta stage.

You were spot on there hairy, humour is often lost in this world, and that is all it was. Lost humour.

I think you're right to let Whurlston host this, and I know you will make it look fantastic.

Cheers

Is this to put on the existing wiki as per pz1's suggestion? As usual I think I may have missed something Sad

I would think it would need to be on the NPVR wiki. My thoughts would be to "single source" the relevant information on the proper wiki.

I really shouldn't do this late at night but this is the only time I get! Given that N-PVR wiki is gestating, a single page on existing wiki would do this?

Yes, it could.
