Yeah, its definitely sounding like some issue with hard encoder analog devices. I'm intending to take a look tomorrow.

Do you think you will have something for this? Multiple recording schedule starts again Sunday evening, and wondering if I should switch the service back to pvrx2.

I'm having the same problem, however, with qam on my 2250. I am trying to record two qam channels at once and usually one will record fine while the other creates the file but doesn't grow, just stays at 0KB. I've tried all of the unmanaged.dll's listed in the threads. Also the file sizes are gigantic, ~40 minutes of recording and the file was over 1GB, I don't know where to find the transcoding information on NPVR so any help with that would be great too.

This wont be the same problem, but may be another problem with similar symptoms. The problem fixed in the patch above definitely only related to analog hardware encoder devices (and specifically problems indentifying the encoder filter). Digital support doesnt need to do any of this.

Your best bet is to post the best description you can of the problem you're seeing, and include the logs.

Use that LogTSFlow=2 tip mentioned on the last page, and post the mon-*.txt files so I can take a look.

I'm not in that part of the world, but I'm guessing 40 minute recordings of high bitrate 1080i/720p channels could easily be using 1GB. NPVR has no control over the bitrate or resolution - this is decided by the broadcaster.

Did it literally crash (or a recording wasnt growing)? What did the message say?

1GB is quite reasonable, even a bit small, for 40 minutes of digital recording around here. HD runs 4 to 7GB per hour; even SD at a high bit-rate could get to 1GB in 40 minutes.

After reboot, it looks like it's all good. Cranked up all tuners without error (4 analog tuners plus 4 recordings on 2 digital tuners). I'll give it another workout tomorrow, but it looks like you've done it again! Now I have some champagne to drink and a girl to kiss! Cheers to all.
