That's due to the unknown reason. I didn't stop the service or cancel the recording until after I uploaded the logs, just to make sure that I wasn't interfering with the logs.

This time, can you also note the time the recordings appear to stop growing. We need to be sure if the mon-*.txt have stopped receiving new log messages when the recordings appear to have stopped.

Here we go.
Again, I haven't yet stopped the NPVR service or the recordings as I type this. But the recording files have stopped increasing in size. It just, as you say, stops getting data.
Also, mon-085e0020.txt still includes the logging from the prior attempt, as I forgot to delete the log files before starting this. Hope that it doesn't end up being too confusing.

Yes; it looks to me that the time from the start to the end of the logging is basically the length in seconds of the .ts file that gets created.
I suspect that I'm having the same issue as in the [thread=48717]Device failed to start[/thread] and [thread=48822]Recording 2 progs at once always fails[/thread] threads, since they're describing very similar symptoms (at least of what happens to future recordings once data stops coming), and they're related to the upgrade to 1.5.36. Even if they're not quite the same, I bet they're related. You'd probably know better than I, though.
I'm going to get to bed now, but I'll try it in the morning. Thank you so much for your help. I'm 95% sure that this worked in 1.5.33, but I could be mistaken.
Here are the logs with the patch applied. I can confirm that when the mon logs stop having entries, the .ts files stop getting more data too. Everything's still running, and reporting as "Recording", NPVR is just getting no more data that it can see.
Even if it was broken in 1.5.33, this certainly worked in some version of NPVR, as I know I tested it when transitioning from GB-PVR. But it's possible that it broke earlier than I realized.

To be honest, I'm not sure. It just looks like the devices spontaneously stop delivering data to the application. I can see in the logs its not hung up inside NPVR code, because I'm logging the data entry and exit points, and I can see its left the exit point.

I'm not sure that is the case. I can think of at least one user that has had this exact problem with every release of NPVR. Its strange that he is also a HDHR user, and the couple of other reports in recent days have also been HDHR users.
