Finally managed to get AutoRefresh to throw an exception Big Grin

I have a couple of PAL 50.000fps MKV's which are SD to 720p 50fps AI conversions (Gorillaz & Groove Armada @ Glastonbury) PQ is outstanding but now they refuse to play (AutoRefresh throws an exception and won't continue).

Do I just have to add 50.000fps - 50Hz to the XML or is there more to it than that?

Can you post the logs/exception details?

If it was working (!), then it should have realised that 50.000 wasn't a framerate it had a matching refresh rate for and just used the default one for it.

OK, no worries. Also check you have the latest version of the download, as there was a fix added for something similar to this. I wasn't bothering with a changelog/history on the wiki while it was still in testing, and perhaps on hindsight that was a mistake Smile

Just downloading the latest now (Dial-up) I was on the previous.
Also I will check the codec being used for H264 - I seem to remember previously using SAF 6, ffdshow (default) would crash NPVR with these files - cyberlink would play them - could be AutoRefresh is catching the crash instead of NPVR

By the way using AutoRefresh Reclock or Not and Reclock I am getting excellent PQ on my plasma using only 50 & 60 Hz at 720p (that's all its got)

Got any Ideas on refreshing the menus immediately after a [return with refresh rate changing back to default] as I always get a black screen until a button press.

I'm in a similar situation with my existing GBPVR setup, that due to its use of VMR9 FSE can't change refresh rate so it's stuck at 50Hz all the time. ReClock lets me play 23.976 content happily at 50Hz, but I'm looking forward to (finally) moving to NPVR and being able to have everything play properly at its correct rate.

Give the attached a go (purposely zipped small without MediaInfo for your dial up needs Smile). It adds an explicit call to PluginHelperFactory.GetPluginHelper().ForceRender() after making the switch, but I've no idea if it'll help because I don't see the problem. It might do the call before the refresh change has finished too, so may need a delay added to it. We'll wait and see how you get on.

Just overwrite the files in \Plugins\AutoRefresh with these ones...

Good News - Bad News Time (Well not that bad)

Good News - The update fixed the exception problem on the 50.000fps Files Cool

Bad News - Still get blank Menu screens - but I have been counting chickens (1 chicken - 2 chicken) and I think it will need approx 2 chick err seconds delay to finish refresh rate changes (Time between hitting Return on the remote and a Right Arrow Press that results in a refresh)

OK, if I get a chance later on I'll post an update that lets you put the number of chickens you need in config.xml and we can see if that helps.
