here is the .ts recording of the same program I posted a link in youtube. when playing it back the subtitles are 10 to 15 seconds ahead of video.

No worries Smile I will make a sample too once I get a little spare time.

So if you start playback of that file, dont do any skipping, and right click, select Subtitles->'DVB Subtitles (eng)', is it 10-15 seconds out? I just tried your file here, and while it wasnt perfect, it wasnt too bad. For me it looked like the subtitles were about a second early. For the most part the words being said were still on the screen, though sometimes I'd see a line before it was being said. There were a couple of subtitles that went by too quickly, but there were still approximately what was being said.

Sub,

1 second? I wish. I wouldn't have complained about a measly second.

I tried playing it several times again. Each time Played it from the start, no skipping, just selected DVB subtitles. And yes, subtitles were (counting with my fingers) 10 to 15 seconds ahead.

In fact so far ahead that it is impossible to follow.
Could the difference in our setup be something to do with decoders used ?

Did you try the exact way I said? ie, start playback, dont skip, right mouse select subtitle, dont skip, let it play, watch subtitles?

I'm trying to narrow down if your problem start when you're skipping, or always there.

Yes exactly that way. No skippping and no mouse/no keyboard at all.Just using the remote (only to select subtitles - then watch) .

Edit:
I have no problem during liveTV until I start skipping (that seems to be consistent).on recorded programs it seems to start from the begining.

Thanks Sub. I tried the patch but unfortunately it didn't make any difference.
