Something I just noticed yesterday while answering a question from bgowland where I needed to look at my config.xml is that when I update my EPG trough the System plugin the "recording-backup.xml" & "recurring-backup.xml" don't get updated whereas doing an update through settings-channels-UpDateEPG they do get updated??

That reminds me...

Something I meant to tell Iain (and it might be related).

I use 'nextpvr -emptyepg' from a command prompt on occasions which obviously fires up the NextPVR UI with an empty EPG. I then go to System and use Update EPG. When it has completed if I then go to TV Guide, it still shows as empty and I have to exit NextPVR and restart to see the updated TV Guide.

I mentioned this to sub and he said the System plugin needs to use the following event code after the update to trigger a refresh of the TV Guide data...

Code:
EventBus.GetInstance().Notify("RELOAD_RECORDINGS") ;

Not sure if that would also trigger an update to those xml files as well.

Cheers,
Brian

Well I did an EPG update just before I made that post (just to make sure) and it still doesn't update the TV Guide unless I exit/restart NextPVR. Pretty sure I'm running the latest version of the System plugin as I downloaded at the end of last week.

Try going into Live TV after the update and then see what the guide says. The event is called, but it seems like something else is still needed to make the guide realise it needs to update itself. I've not had any time to work on any of this stuff recently, so it probably does need more work yet...

OK, I'll run some tests later when I've got a clear slot between recordings and I'll let you know.

The system plugin is still not updated on the wiki, should it not be by now?

But is the second test release the final one?
