I always do this on downloaded zips - then you get the original creation time stamp, not the download times tamp - useful when Sub is whizzing patches out at the speed only he can achieve Big Grin

Also stops a dumb service from being asked if it trusts a new file as you have found.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

This is the reason why I don't use Windows' built-in zip tools for creating or extracting .zips of program files. I use 7-zip.

NumberFive has nailed the reason - NDigitalHost.exe isn't run by the user, so if it's Blocked, it can't prompt the user and can't run. NextPVR.exe is run by the user, so those of you who were not unblocking these files just got prompted the first time you ran it.

I will consider words to add to the patch post about this issue.

7-zip is a great tool, but I don't put it on many computers as the Windows built-in tools is usually all I ever need. Worth adding a note, I bet this won't be the last time this issue shows up. Smile

Annoyingly I use 7zip on most machines I use, but haven't installed anything on the PVR box that's not "required" - and up until now, the built in zip has been fine...

Ah least it's not WinRAR - it'd probably find a way of popping up after every TV show asking you to buy / upgrade it. It's has managed to capture the Windows 95 look and feel and preserve it all the way to 2012 mind you! Big Grin
