I haven't tried the fix yet but I just wanted to let you know that it seems to have deleted the series/recurring recording instead of the specific recording. That is, my 'NBC Nightly News' recurring recording is now missing from the recurring recordings list along with another series of which I tried to delete a specific recording.

Yep, that is what happened. That attached patch fixes it.

The fix does delete the file but now I get a warning in XBMC that states something like "The PVR backend doesn't support this action" and the recordings list doesn't reflect the deletion until I exit and restart XBMC.

Hmm, that's odd. I'm not getting that from XBMC. Can you reproduce it again, and repost your xbmc.log and web.log?

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be enough detail in the xbmc.log to see what it's unhappy with.

Can you try it again with this updated XBMC_NextPVR_win32.pvr, then repost the xbmc.log? I've added some additional logging so I can see the result code being returned to XBMC.

Unfortunately XBMC now crashes with the modified version of the addon. The log is attached.

I have tried a recent Linux build of Frodo (OpenELEC) and don't have the issue of the error message when deleting so it seems to be isolated to the Windows version.

Ok.

I had tried a few times to reproduce it, but wasn't able to. Given this, and the lack of other reports, it might be limited to the specific Windows build you're running?

I was intending to give you an updated addon with more logging, but unfortunately my build is undergoing some changes at the the moment so not compatible with your current setup.

Sorry, I realise I'm being a fool here, but how do I install the patch? I'm running 64bit Windows 7. I've got several instances of the NShared.dll on my machine. I've gone for the stick it in system32 and put regsvr32 filename.dll into a run window and I got the error message telling me the entry point wasn't found. I preume it should go in the sysWOW64 folder and a similar command to the one above is put into the run window, but I'd rather not destroy my currently working system through fear of not asking a basic question Smile

Also, can I run this along side WIN7MC (Same machine, same TV Card?) I ask as I want to move to Frodo and have everything inside XBMC, but I'm also keen not to lose any shows - I will be running a trial before I make the full switch. As a possibly stupid follow on question whcih I assume the answer is no, but if I can run them along side, can I record the same programme simultaneously through NextPVR and Win7MC? either using the same tuner on the TV card (I have a dual tuner TBS 6981 S2 card) or using the tuner that isn't recording at the time.

Thanks!
