Hi Brian
I have the same problem as Nistrod (post 20) in regards to the Day of the week ( TODAY, MON, Tue...Sat. No Sunday, and today is Wednesday). I am also UTC +10
Also since the last epg update I now have two lines of the same EPG data for every program on every channel.
Thanks
Dave

I think Brian's figured out the Day of the Week problem - I'm not seeing the two lines of EPG problem though - but I'm a fair bit behind you (in time) - I'll have another look tomorrow...

As Alex said, I worked out the problem with the days of the week (it's an end of month / start of month issue which I've fixed). I'm not sure what the two lines of EPG data might be but it could be related to the same problem.

I'll be uploading a new version within the hour - hopefully it'll behave better.

Just downloaded the new version and most of the problems are gone except 1.
I still have double ups but only on certain channels.
I will clear out my EPG data on NPVR and then update it. I will see if that fixes the problem when I update the Galaxy
Sorry Just picked up another issue. In NPVR one of my music folders is on a NAS. This works fine when the NAS is on but if The NAS is off then Ndroid locks up the samsung if I tell it to wait or I can shut it down. (Easy fix for me is to make sure I have the NAS on).

Thanks.

Good choice. Nice bit of kit isn't it. Wink

  • If I rotate the tablet, it FCs.
  • I prefer portrait mode, FWIW.
I've locked it to landscape for the next few versions to stop the force close problem on rotation - I will allow portrait in the future once I've figured out what causes it.

Quote:
  • When I first start, it shows (at the top left) a generic ndroid logo, with a channel of -1 and the rotating busy icon. Things clear up if I pick a channel.
Yes, I see that sometimes - it's on the to-do list.

  • The days of the week are TODAY, MON, Tue...Sat. No Sunday, and today is Tuesday. I think its the headings only, as tomorrows programs are under the second (wrong) day name.
Fixed in v2.0.1
Quote:
  • Program info, here in Australia, is about 2 lines, so there is a lot of wasted space. Could that area be dynamic?
Possibly for a future version - I'll have to think about how best to do it.
Quote:
  • I'm on UTC+10, and program times for TODAY are correct, but the first show on each channel starts at or after 10:00. The last one finishes just before midnight. Other days are fine.
For "Today" it should only show programmes which start or are running from whatever the current time of day is - that's the same as nDroid v1.8.x. Are you saying it's showing the wrong shows?
Quote:
  • Should it be indicating shows to be recorded? Its not.
I'm not sure that made it into v2.0.0 - it definitely should indicate them in v2.0.1

Cheers,
Brian

The code for selecting EPG data from the database is the same as nDroid v1.8.x so I can't think what the problem might be unless, as you suggest, it's at the npvr end of things.

There have always been issues with nDroid handling network issues gracefully - I'm gradually working on them.

Hi Brian
I re scanned the channels in NPVR and I found the error. Here in Australia some of our channels scan with the same name. There is about 3 or 4 of them, eg Channel ONE has two Channel's (ONE and ONE HD) but they both scan in as channel ONE by default. NPVR keeps them seperate on the EPG data. So once I changed the name of one of them and reinstalled NDROID TE all went well.
I still have the issue of being 3 hours out eg I just did a fresh install at 7.00am but it is only showing programs from 10.00 am (Strange)
Otherwise all is looking brilliant.
Keep up the awesome work.
Dave

On NPVR I have my TV Guide Minutes set to 180 Minutes. Could this have something to do with it being out

With v2.0.1 I'm still getting the 'displays data from the first visible item in the list(s) when I tap any item in the list(s)' problem - would it be helpful if I sent you my data folder?

Otherwise the app is taking on a very 'slick' look - definitely worth the effort involved in having the TE version.

Hmm, still not sure what would cause that. By all means zip the data folder and email it and I'll check it at this end.

Thanks - a bit of a steep learning curve but it's getting there.
