I think it's still going to say MPEG2 in the scan, but not rely on it being MPEG2 during live tv (ie, will check the stream type rather than just assuming it's still MPEG2).

For the record, this change only matters for live tv, since it affects which type of video decoder is added to the directshow graph. This and all previous releases would have quite happily record H.264 channels if this was what the BDA drivers are delivering.

Isn't there a more fundamental problem with the HDHRs and that is in general NextPVR mode isn't correct for NextPVR and so even when they permit transcoding in NextPVR mode, it won't really help.

Think I have it working - I had to switch from Main Application: ATSC/Other back to NextPVR in the Settings program.

In the past not all of my channels came in when setting to "NextPVR" vs. ATSC/Other, but I believe they coming in now with transcoding enabled. I'll follow up once I have more details.

Are you able to record more than one channel simultanously from the IPTV device?

no sorry for the confusion, i sort of switched subjects halfway through - i abandoned IPTV and switched over to BDA. Sub made a change so that NPVR can detect if H.264 is being sent using BDA, which works great with my HDHR-Plus (the transcoding version), so I no longer need IPTV.

@Sub, have you had a look at the logs posted earlier in this thread regarding the original subject?
