Plugins? Whats Coming up?

jasonf: I don't have a sourceforce id, never used the site but may look in to it.

I have attached a GBPVRUIElements dll (put devnz\gbpvr\) and a GBPVR plugin and blue skin to demo the elements (these files are in the preview.zip). Please treat all elements as work in progress.

Have included the source so people can take a look and make comments (best to start a new thread for this rather then hijack this one). I would love to hear comments ideas on this.

Very familiar with it, i use a modified one of those as a guest MVP remote, so they don't have access to too many functions.

What trigger method are you planning to use to get the signal from the the computer to the RF interface?

nightwalker, there are some free .NET libraries on the net that interface with the X10 firecracker module as well as one or two other modules. So, basically I can use this library to interface with the firecracker (which plugs into the serial port) to blast commands to the X10 transceiver module.

There is also a USB device from X10 that can be used as well. I'll see if any of the libraries I found interface with the USB device from X10. If one of the libraries has this functionality I'll use it instead just so more people can take advantage of the plugin.

I use the smarthome usb smartlinc and it's been working very well for a couple of years now. I have no idea if there are libraries for it or not. You might want to see how many responses you get. there is a plugin to link to Homeseer that i'm using now. Works very well indeed and it lets me activate whole events directly. X10, RF, IR, Temp control even the secruity system or anything else that can be controlled. It's a tough act to follow. In you're favor Homeseer and the equipment to do all that is not at all inexpensive and a simple x10 plug to dim the lights before a movie may be very welcome.

x10 also have a free api for use with the newer USB device. If you can get through the horrible x10 website there's a link to the API.
