Screen goes black until I click on it a couple times and then it goes white and then the box which says that the program is not responding and do I want to Close the program or wait for it to respond. I have after it goes black left the computer for an hour and it is still black. I just noticed another thing. After I click on close the program I get a icon in the taskbar which is a box with the letters "FF" plus a small letter which is too small to read. If I mouse over this icon it disappears. If I have this problem 3 times I will get 3 of these icons.

Probably not related but since the update the left and right arrows now skip 60 second forward and 30 seconds back. "Skip FFSeconds" in the configxml file still says 10 seconds.

Sounds like the ffdshow audio or video tray icon. It can be disabled from the decoder settings (click button beside the decoder in NextPVR).

is there a new release in the horizon? it'd nice so the new comers don't have to go through this hassle, or the existing users donât have to be checking the forum for help. the issue is happening with live tv as well. thx

Yes, in the next week or so. It's largely just a roll up of those patches that have already been posted though.

hi there! i upgraded to 3.8.3 and still freezing when stoping a playback from a recorded title. also, when trying to play a dvd i get a blank screen nothing happens. are these known issues or would you want to see the logs? thx

There is going to be an updated installer in the next couple of days. Try that one, and if you're still having issues then we can look into it.

I was having major hanging problems (no crash) this week on my host pc, which I haven't updated for while, until I replaced ffdshow with LAV https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases
