To me it sounded like you had both versions of NextPVR installed at the same time. Are you sure you didn't still have the old npvr.db3, with original show metadata data etc. Pre5.0 and post5.0 store their npvr.db3 in a different location

Hi Martin,
Maybe I am not understanding the NextTool documentation. The NextTool documentation says that supported file name formats are

    ShowName_YYMMDD
    ShowName_YY-MM-DD

Sorry the wiki is wrong that is the NextPVR format and it has two dates start and stop time.

Tell you what have you donated to sub for v7 yet? If not and you do I can and the regex for

24-(Day 7_ 2_00PM - 3_00PM)-2009-02-02-0.avi

and if is over $20 I will even parse out the subtitle. Not sure that YY-MM-DD is safe but it is pretty esoteric format. I can probably do that faster than continuing this thread.

Hi Martin,
I made a $ 50 contribution on Friday. NextPVR is a great program!

I can just rename those files for 24 manually. There are only 40 of them.

I have been manually renaming my old movie recordings to movie_name(YYYY) and importing them with NextTool. That is going well and NextPVR does add thumbnail art for almost all of them, so I do not see many star thumbnails.

I can make thumbnails manually for the missing ones.

Wow we all thank you, people forgot sub has to pay for the server on top of everything else so as prices go up every little (and big!) thing helps. When I saw the Docker image has been downloaded a million times I thought sub should be a rich man. He'd do better with cat videos on TikTok.

I will add it anyway, it will be fun to have a programming challenge when someone can test it.

I also have a lot of files that NextTool does not import.

They are in formats like:

24-(Day 7_ 2_00PM - 3_00PM)-2009-02-02-0.avi
Absolute Power-2008-02-18-0.avi
Airport-2013-05-09-0.mp4
30 Rock-(Succession)-2011-12-31-0.mp4

Could you try the latest version updated for v7 of NextPVR and those format and let me know how it imports please. I think I got the regex OK but that is a small sample size.   If it works I will put in on the wiki.

That's not the right version logged NextTool, Version=2.2.1.0, it's not even the latest on the wiki. The log should show NextTool, Version=2.6.0.0

The zip say 2.5 but it log 2.6 since that is what I plan for the wiki. 2.5.0 was unreleased before netcore 8

My mistake.

Now I get an error and it does not run.

Could not resolve CoreCLR path. For more details, enable tracing by setting COREHOST_TRACE environment variable to 1

I set the variable to 1 and now get the long output in the attached file.

Did you remember to delete the two json files as explained on the wiki? The zip is multiplatform.

Files need to be zipped for attaching and under 2MB
