Series Recordings - Bug?

This particular bug would be channel specific.  Do you have Rewind TV or WildEarth mapped?

No I don't have those two mapped, I can add them and try them with series recordings if you want ?

I deleted all the mapped channels from  tuner 2 and rescanned that tuner, mapped 102 channels (I normally only map 58) 
EPG updated and tried setting a series recording on Rewind TV and WildEarth both series recordings worked as expected.
I've reverted back to my normal setup, but if you need anything in the way of logs/tests let me know, easy enough to add just the 2 channels in question to both tuners for a while.

As I said the problem "Department S" episode would be gone today.

I am surprised Wild Earth is working though based on the use of Africa’s and not Africa's which should cause the same errors. It likely won't go to Kodi or record "Safari Spotlight" so a full mux for it would probably be helpful.

Also mapped Rewind TV & WildEarth to both my tuners. Setup a series recording for Safari Spotlight and it appears to be working OK. It's recorded 1 episode so far and it plays OK. Can't help with KODI as I don't use it.

Your data is quite different than the OP's he had Safari Spotlight on 14 times over several days.

Doing a EPG search for Safari Spotlight shows it's on twice a day at 13.00 and 19.00 and  in  my pending recordings there's 14 instances covering 7 days up to and including 5th June.

OK thanks I guess it is the same program info at multiple times. In any case the raw data does have the bad character
