i don't agree. manual recordings do not depend on the guide and therefore won't be touched by an update. from update to update the title won't change, the only thing which would change is the time. if the gap is to great, the schedule will be deleted, otherwise it will be updated. where is the problem?
you say title+subtitle will be enough. but in my case, there is no subtitle, it's empty for future shows (4-5 days ahead).
the idea is to have something like a timeslot: if title or time of a scheduled show don't fit the new title or timeslot, the schedule will be lost (and that's ok, for the show you wanted to record won't be broadcasted). maybe gbpvr could display a message...
in the other case (title ok, timeslot ok) the schedule will be updated.
the old myhtpc did that this way and i never had problems with the guide.
and there will be an always up-to-date tv-guide...
