I've tried Dohnuts method, and it works (almost) perfectly. Viewing with live Preview is spot on, scheduled recording works too.
However, if I try to Time Shift, it starts to record in the Live Buffer area but only the first couple of frames; GBPVR then errors with a "detected zero file size" error. It's the same on both the Intervideo and Cyberlink mux's. Any ideas on what i'm missing? Cheers
Code:
22:30:24.949 VERBOSE waited: 11 (1133908224 - 1133908213) filesize: 75776
22:30:25.049 ERROR DirectShowHelperVMR9::playFile() - Waited ten seconds, and file size is still zero!!!
I had a look through that log file last night and it appears that although the Intervideo mux is installed (checked using your little app) when it comes to record, it fails to find it and uses Cyberlink one instead! I tried the Microsoft mux last night at that works perfectly!
Thanks for your help!
I have followed the above instructions and can sort of get it working!
I have the Yakumo software on and that works ok.
The problems i have is i can't get a reliable channel scan, sometimes doesnt find some channels e.g. ITV1 / 2 / etc. It goes very very very slow or hangs in CONFIG -> MAP.
Picture breaks up quite a bit in live TV, worked fine with Frecom software.
I did manage to get it record a sample 10 mins on one ofthe installed channels. But now rescanning seems to cause problems.
Uninstalled GB-PVR & re-installed but still same.
The other thing - is it possible to alter the default display settings e.g. contrast / brightness as in Frecomm software? The picture is a bit dark for me and I'm now running the monitor with full Bright/contrast.
I have just bought a freecom usb stick and wondered if I could use it with alternative sw like chris TV ?
So if I read this right freecom are developing some new drivers ?
I have found the antenna that came with my unit to be unreliable/not work when using the supplied sw to do scan channels it show s signal strenghth very low when movoing cable at base of aerial this moves all over the place.
Has any one found a better compatable portable antenna ?
Hi all. I'm a beginner and i know that probably nobody whants to answer me...no problem. If you where so kind to help me i appreciate a lot.
I read the thread and i download:
- dotnetfx.exe
- DVB-T USB stick driver
- Yakumo_Quickstick_Treiber
- YakumoTvViewer8.11.05
- GBPVR09516.msi
- ShowShifter-Setup.exe
- MyTheatre.v3.33.5.exe
I have a freecom usb stick and i installed:
1) "dotnetfx.exe"=.net framework stuff.
2) Desinstall following the steps the freecom drivers and install again using Yakumo_Quickstick_Treiber
3) I didn't installed YakumoTvViewer8.11.05
4) I Installed GBPVR09516.msi and ShowShifter-Setup.exe
5) Add section described into the end of the bda.ini of GBPVR09516
I'm sure i must configure things and i don't understand what the programs really do. I think that i must execute GBPVR09516 and ShowShifter (i don't undersatand why, maybe i read a little in the forum) and after that i can configure the rest (please help me) in MYTheather. Now nothing happens and i don't know how to see and scan the channels (that i can see with the initial software proporcionated with freecom).
I want to learn and understand how to configure the utils and programs.
It would be nice if someone can explain me and guide me a little.
Thanks a lot and excuse me for me english
Take care and happy 2006!
