The trouble with the rtmp proprietary protcol is that it can use a custom player for an flv file and it isn't normally a straight forward http transfer. There is also the issue that the flv file won't play on the NMT. Typically you need to run utilities like rtmpdump, and then "flv extract" to get a stream that will be on the NMT.

The live stream is of course nice but not the most important for me, so just to get the static files would be enough for me Smile

I have so far used rtmpdump and manually converted the result but would like to get a higher WAF on the solution...

I still have some work to do on the Movies/Trailers sections but...

Fixed issue where SafeSearch parameter was not being used.
Added a popup to tell you if you attempted to play a restricted video (which was previously causing issues)
Added movie/trailer lists. (Movie lists will only display free movies.)
Movie Lists will use the poster for item image if available. If the poster is used, the normal default image will be used as a background instead.
Modified skin file to show more data in list view.
Added full text search via an onscreen keyboard (this does not accept text from a physical keyboard, you will need to use arrows/enter to press the virtual keys). Select "Search" from the menu to access.
Changed default PC pre-buffer to 1024KB (still disabled by default).
Now does not attempt to play the file until ffmpeg has written the pre-buffer amount to the drive.

Restricted videos will currently not play.

I've been trying to get this working on my NMT (including previous versions), but without succes. The first start of a video gives a popup with error "object reference etc...", the second time a buffer popup shows, but the popup disappears and the video never starts. It works fine on the PC. Logs attached.

Is there a feed specific to Music per chance? I wan't sure if Youtube offered one.....I find myself playing music videos most often.

@whurlston, it is working great for me from the PC and NMT, thanks a lot. The language issue is fixed to and even though I can't read them any better it feels right. I do have an issue with all the Crackle movie feeds I get a message "You must be logged in to view this video" when I try online I get a country restriction type of message. Great work though and love the fanart.

@UJB, I have the search term vevo as a saved search and it gives me a list of 1000 music videos.

Glad to hear it! There is no specific feed for music unfortunately (it's 99% of my youtube viewing as well). I might be able to work out a search algorithm though.

Great. I separated the keyboard popup into a separate dll (the Common\NPVRUtilities.dll) in case other plugins want to use it.

There was a problem with the stream parsing but I'm not sure why it affected the NMT but not the PC. In any event, the attached build now does a much better job with the stream parsing and should fix your issues. If not, it at least adds more logging for me.

I'm sending the region parameter with the movie search query so it should only return movies viewable for your country code. Are you sure it's not restricted due to rating? What is the url for the feed list query that you are getting?

I'm going to be adding cookie handling so that if you have youtube set to keep you logged in, it will allow you to view the age restricted videos.
