Thanks ... Comforting to know I am not the only one with the error. Unfortunately whurlston is a bit busy at the moment, I just hope he can come back soon, or pass the source onto someone who can run with it. I love the plugin, and really appreciate the point where it's at, but it just doesn't seem to work that great on my set up.

QT = Apple Quicktime? I have that installed, it recently auto-updated IIRC. Could try and reinstall.

Yeah, it wasn't QuickTime. It's probably a change in the API.

Explorer will crash if trying to render the thumbnail for an invalid/corrupt video file. Windows has had this problem for years. I think there is a registry setting to disable the thumbnail generation feature (or don't browse that folder)

If you are running W7 you can change this setting by running gpedit.msc. More info here http://benosullivan.co.uk/windows/how-to...-db-files/

I know he mentioned awhile back that he'd been laid off and was about to run out of unemployment benefits too. I hope his absence since March means he's found a new job keeping him very busy, instead of possible disaster.

No luck on the job front but luckily I'm still far from disaster. I've been slowly trying to build my own business as time and funds allow. I also have another child now so I've been playing Mr. Mom most of the time.

The kids start daycare the end of August which will free up more time for me to get back to some projects.

@jksmurf, the next release of this plugin (and any others I do) will all be open sourced. I've run into the issue on one machine but I have not had a chance yet to troubleshoot it. As soon as I do, I'll put out the release to fix it but it may not be until the kids go to daycare.

For future reference (new coder taking up the source) whurlston pls stay away :o!, I also have problems sometimes with the settings, which doesn't always save the added URLs and threw an error also attached, so I ended up adding <customurls> manually to youtube.xml.

Then I had a little play with the YouTube Plugin again, set up a playlist and tried the feed from that.
Seemes to load it OK, from the log below, but then hangs.

I see the problem and I can fix it by changing one line of code. I'm not 100% sure of the state of the rest of my code though. I'll need to reboot this machine to switch to development mode but I'll run some tests on the code this weekend and post a patch if it looks like it's not going to break something else.

I've found and fixed the "exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" bug. I'll have the other one fixed by tomorrow.
