MyVideos slowly dying

just to chime in as a long time MyVideos user.

I find the .lnk files particularly useful to bring folders on different systems together under one heading.

I'm rather worried about it going belly up when I shortly install 1.0.8.

I tried it out in a test, and as long as you move the plugin files into a subfolder, it works ok as far as I can tell. It just needs to be re-skined.

seriously reven, what do you want? you have countless people STILL using a plugin that was axed a long time ago.. that kind of dedication and following would be more than enough for me to at least do something for the users.. If you want money for the code, then name the price and we'll negotiate.

i just no longer using gbpvr, so its pointless me developing something that i wouldnt use.

i gotcha.. but why not let others keep up the developing? for example, I started a project called webstreamer that let people stream their recordings over the web, and when i no longer had time to develop it further, I turned over the code to UncleJohnsBand and he did a great job perfecting it and integrating it into EWA, and now everyone can use it as an out-of-the-box solution.

... and I'll give you $50 and a plaque recognizing your achievement in the PVR-ing world.

Will try when I get home but when looking the show up on imdb it has no description. Will see if I can prevent it from pulling garbage though.

ill give you guys a challenge, if someone makes a skin for pvrx2 that looks good (gbpvr now has the potential) and is a high res skin (oh lets say 1920x1080) i may just switch back to gbpvr, and in that case ill probably do a updated my vids plugin (got lots of code to base a version of, so wouldnt take long to get all the basics up, including internet lookups).

it just comes down to a good looking skin..... at a high res

mediaportal is nice and all, but still no where near as stable as gbpvr

Actually I can rough convert it to the Community-WS in like a minute (JavaWiz wrote a skin resizer app). PVRx2 plugins are coded slightly different so I don't think the new bells and whistles would work with it.

A new from scratch PVRx2 version, sure I could lend a hand.
