Nice!
Love to have Categories. I miss some though. Like Thriller and Music (and maybe horror)

I have just installed it without reading the note, so I do not know how to use the filter (Categories) (I'll read about it as soon as I press "post").
What I do know is that you get Unhandled exception if you try to use right or left arrow in any of the panels. Not so good...

OK. Been playing around some more.

I found that I can add all the categories I want (too fast with that last post).

I also found a fix for the unhandled exception I get and thus also solved the problem of how to change categories in GBpvr.

Search for "left.png" and "right.png" in devnz\gbpvr.
Copy these to \skin2\[YourSkin]\Moviewiz.

They seem to be two empty image files. I do not know if it's exactly these two files that where intended. But with them, browsing movies by categories work.
[FIXED in version 1.0.5b]

I'll gather that mr Wiz will update the plugin with the correct files in a few hours.

A wish for a category enhancement: Would be nice if empty categories where skipped in UI-browsing.

Came to think of one more thing. On the first tab; 'Add content' could you put a box for previewing the image that just was found.
Then you get a sense for how accurate the scraping is for this particular entry. (and more things happen besides checkboxes being ticked) Wink

I've added the two features you requested to this version of the DLL:
  • A wish for a category enhancement: Would be nice if empty categories where skipped in UI-browsing.
  • On the first tab; 'Add content' could you put a box for previewing the image that just was found. I don't display as it is loading, since the LAST think I do is look for an Image, but you can go back and review the list once done.
Rather than creating a new install, I've just attached the DLL. Unzip and copy to the plugins/MovieWiz directory.

Now with the new category option, can you make it to download the category too when fetching for info from IMDB?

I just have that there so it is easy to start clean simply by copying and/or renaming.

all i can say is WOW! this is AMAZING. GREAT JOB. really freaking impressive, truly. you should be very proud of this beacuse it rocks extremely hardcore. Props to you my friend.

I have a few tiny things, not anything big but I thought you would want to know. when i began importing, which was really easy and worked really well, i had one error. I'll upload the log of what happened. Other than that its been smooth sailing, really quality plugin.

Some suggestions: when you import, after they all finish it tells you how many were imported and how many got information, which ones didn't get info, etc.
when you search on yahoo for pictures, any type of puncuation won't let it find anything.

Maybe have support for folders within their. I like having the option of folders because for series (such as Bond, Star Wars, Hannibal Lector, a bunch of others) I don't want to see them all, i just want to see the name of the series. I could live without it, but it would be totally awesome.

Anyway, you should really push this. it is an amazing plugin and rocks totally hardcore. congrats.

That will be in the next version (1.0.6). If it finds an exact match between IMDB genre and what is in the category list, that item will be checked.

A new enhancement:
I would like it if the entries I remove from the first page stays removed. In the meaning that they do not populate the list the next search either. Unless I uncheck a checkbox called 'Hide removed'. If I remove a tv-serie or short films, it's a lot of entries to remove every time.

And I do like il1019's wish for folders, maybe folders could be treated as categories. But maybe with a possibility to remove them from 'All movies' category.
