smelcher. Easy one first, System.data.sqllite.dll doesn't need to be in the MusicLibrary2 directory any more. That message is because it's there, is a dll, and pvrx2 is trying to test it for a plugin, which it isn't. You should be safe to remove that copy. For one of the betas it was needed.

Not sure about the Music Library/Music Library2 not being there together, since on my prod and dev systems they both co-exist. Have you had a fiddle around with the languages.xml and renamed MusicLibrary2 as Music Library? THat's about the only thing I can think of that might cause that.

And for you. I'd probably be tempted to remove the ml2panel.dll in ther since its pretty much not usable at the moment.

These extra DLLs are also in the common directory, with whatever reader you want to choose? Taglib-sharp or Ultraid3??

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like it is an MVP issue. I made a post on the MVP side of the forum so I will see what I hear. I'll post back if I get any more info.

Actaully one more question. I didnt understand your last sentence about the DLLs in the common directory. Should I remove them all?

Sub had me look at my Windows firewall and that turned out to be my problem. I made an exception in the Windows firewall for all of the GBPVR and PVRX2 executables and that did the trick. I now have sound again!

Now that I have the sound working I am playng with the ML2 a bit and ran into a problem. I hit the random button and the ML2 correctly gave me some songs. When it finished playing them however it gave me the following error:

sorry, was just commenting, that all of those dlls in the Musiclibrary2 directory, interfaces, ultraid3lib.dll, amazon.dll amazon.serializers.dll etc should also be in the common directory as well as the Musiclibrary2 one.

But looks lilke you already have that for you to be getting a read error off of ultraid3lib (which means that two of the dlls are being used).

I'll check what I'm doing with the track number I should have an error check around it.. can you get me the version number on your interfaces.dll as well.

Thanks

How do I check versions of DLLs?

I just download the latest ultr3lib and I believe that the system is behaving a little better. The second round of random seems to have kicked in. Another problem I was having was it would crash when I clicked the playlist button. I will continue testing.

right click on the dll and give me the file version or version number, I just want to check its the same as mine, as I thought I had some checking in there.

Mine says: 6.7.2843.29875 but this could be a dev version - shouldn't be though..

Psycik: Just got this working on the MVP via Vista and MVPMC. I echo other comments about its speed, this works faster than my old setup did with TV-out. Nice one.

One comment though, in order for it to work i had to copy 'MusicLibrary2' and 'Common Dialogs' into '~devnz\gbpvr\skin' directory. I havent seen anyone else complain of this, so i might have missed an instruction to that effect, or had an error in instalation.

Everything working very well here though!
GBPVR: A64 X2 6000+, ASUS M2A-VM HDMI, 4GB ram, 8800GT GFX, 2x Nova-T DVB-T, 1x D-Box2 Cable reciever, 2x Wired MVP's, 1.0.16. Vista.
Plugins: MusicLibrary2, Weather, Int Cinema Listings, Burn DVDX2, D-Box2 Plugin, DVD Ripper.
