Thanks JW. Of the 26# I thought I had deleted :-) so I added two back in. I attach fresh logs (deleted all other logs). I had a look in the logs and saw the errors below.

My NativeUtilities.dll is dated Saturday, 8 March 2008, 3:49:10 p.m.

Yeeahah! Almost there. The .mpg gets deleted, however the directory is not deleted? There are also comskip files and others in that dir .log, .dat and .txt which remain in the dir. Could you tweak it to make it delete the whole dir and contents, including all these files?

(thanks for the warning message btw, I think that will be very useful for other folks too!)

Cheers and thanks JW

As long as it doesn't delete the directory if there are other recordings in it.

Unfortunately whenever I try to load this from the command line it crashes with the message:
"MovieWizManager has stopped working"
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.

Using command:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Devnz\GBPVR\Plugins\MovieWiz> MovieWizManager.exe -Recordings -SyncArchived -SubDirs -Load:"D:/TV"

Using latest MovieWiz v1.0.15.5

I believe this to be a Vista problem. I googled the error message and came up with dozens of similar complaints with other programs.

You might try looking in the event viewer and see if there is any additional information in the event logs that may provide more information as to what is failing.

Can you load the MovieWiz config via the GBPVR config program plugins tab?

This seems to be a Vista problem, unfortunately, I am not running Vista so cannot recreate the problem. If I had to guess, I think it may have something to do with either security or the id you are logged in with. I will post a question in the developer forum and see if anyone else has seen a similar problem with Vista.

Yeah - It works fine - great actually - I just record a lot of movies off of my cable box - so I wanted to automate this rather than having to go into the config utility every few days.
