I use the adaptecAVC-3610 and was able to achieve what you want by making changes to the direct.ini file.

Code:
[Adaptec AVC-3610]
[color=Red]INIT_MODE=IVAC[/color]
INIT_MSP=0
SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=0
FILTER_CROSSBAR=Adaptec USB Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=Adaptec USB Capture Device
FILTER_TV_TUNER=Adaptec USB TvTuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=Adaptec USB TvAudio
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Mpeg Out
PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Audio Preview
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

Thanks for letting us know. I'll make this change to the master file.

Thanks. I made this modification and was able to change the bitrate but not the resolution. Was this your experience as well?

I tried changing this on both the Playback screen and the DVD screen. Neither one caused the aspect ratio on my DVD to be automatically recognized. However, I was able to use IR Server Suite to program the green Start button on my remote to map to F7 so I've got easy access in the future.

In the Music Library, if I start playing something and then hit the skip forward button, it jumps forward 2 tracks instead of one. If I just hit Ctrl-Right, it works just fine. I am using the IR Server Suite now but this problem existed before.

I havn't seen this in IR Server, but I believe this issue is actually to do with your IR Receiver's driver. I've seen it where one click will move twice...

When I was using HIP, and I do believe this should be the same with IR Server, an alternate driver was needed to make Hip work. When using the default ehome driver I got double moves, and using the alternate driver single moves.

With IR server, you should use the ehome driver BUT apply the registry hack to get it compatible with IR Server.

Of course ALL THIS assumes that you are using the MCE IR Blaster. But I guess that if it happens with one animal, then it could happen with others...

So THe long and the short of it is, make sure your IR drivers are correct...

This happened to a couple other people. I have no idea why, but see the patch in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ight=patch

Once the kids are done with their movie I will apply this and give it a try. Thanks.

Is there a way to unbind certain remote keys? The More button on my remote seems to be mapped to the Home key. I'd like to break that so I can use IR Server Suite to map it to Ctrl-B.

On an unrelated note, I have done everything I can think of to receive e-mail notifications of replies to this thread. So far I have only received a couple e-mails but there have been a lot of replies. Am I doing something wrong?

Do you have your notification set to instant, daily or weekly? I am not an expert but if it is set to weekly, I would expect that you would get only one notification per week.

For those who have tried the notification aspect to the forum, click on list subscriptions and look at the column "notification". To change the notification, you need to check the box, and then use the drop down menu called Selected threads to change the frequency of the notification or to delete it. Of course you need to subscribe to a thread first which you do from thread tools.
