1st, thanks Sub. I'm running 2 x BDA/DVB-S Files Side by side to run these scans both supplied by: http://joshyfun.cjb.net

1st one installed with latest GBPVR; 2nd d'loaded recently as an update. Both give similar results. As per your:

What others are part of freesat?

Am guessing but would love to be proved wrong that BBC North West is not an option for Freesat right now. I think they are only transmitting a generic channel. BBC1? Anyone?

BBC HD seems to be transmitting but at this stage I'm not too bothered about it as want to get other stuff sorted so can't offer advice

try that on your scan cache.

As for ITV HD I would leave that for now as they are still testing, wait until official launch?

After scan are you getting 8350 as a channel, if so that appears to be Channel 4, if not try this:

T:10729,V,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2042~P:8350~V:2338~A:2339~L:eng~PMT:267~TXT:2340~PCR:2310~N:>8350

and try this for E4:

Sorry, I was going to post my cache file last night but the disk with windows installed on got corrupt, no idea how! Luckily I had a working vista32 install on the bigger disk I use for GBPVR recordings etc but my scan cache files are stuffed. I'll do a rescan later and post. Note that the PIDs for the C4 derivatives recently changed which meand none of the channels I'd got in the cache file earlier in the week work. However a rescan picked them up fine. I hope the PIDs stop changing as it's annoying when the channels stop working in GBPVR!

All Freesat is is a collection of already existing FTA channels, a few that were encrypted but aren't now, a very weird ITV HD channel and an EPG. If you use XNMLTV and the RT for your EPG then you dont even care about that bit.
Any FTA derivative of BBC/ITV is viewable via GBPVR so you can have more BBC regions than the freesat EPG carrys. The only channels I know of that are in any way "weird" for freesat are C4 - it's called 8350 - but is an FTA C4. The ones called C4 that are used by Skyboxes are still encrypted (which for the ROI version with blocked programmes is completely pointless!). And the ITV HD channel which is purposely setup not to work on most receivers, however does kind of work with GBPVR.

BBC1 north West is FTA and , rather strangely, it is picked up and viewable using PowerCineama. So I think its a case of workign out to correct settings.
